NERP
Physical NERP + Virtual NERP
NERP is not exclusively Raspberry Pi, the small computer, embedded control, electronics, and general interest group at Pumping Station:One in Chicago.
NERP will meet Monday 20210712 at Pumping Station One for the first time since covid came to town. It will be a hybrid Meetup (meetup com slash NERP-Not-Exclusively-Raspberry-Pi), in-person plus Jitsi. To join the jitsi videoconference, click the link that will be posted at the end of this paragraph at ~7pm. Doors (physical) open at 6:30pm, jitsi link is posted at 7:00pm, and we’re under way at 7:20pm. [link goes here]
Covid is still a thing. PS1 has lifted the covid protocols for occupying the space, so a mask is not required to enter the building. Nevertheless, some people consider it prudent to mask and distance in public venues. NERP respects and supports this position. NERP also assumes people got their shots. The ventilation in Electronics isn't great, but we'll do what we can to improve the fresh air exchange in the room. The quantity of people in a room can make a difference in the perceived comfort level of being in that space. If you plan on attending NERP in person please let others know by posting in the affirmative to the list at
groups dot io slash g slash NERP slash post [You may be asked to make an account, but you don't need to be a member of PS1, etc.]
Also, thoughts on the list about how to make the transition back to in-person meetings nicer will be helpful. Having the first post-covid NERP in the Park (in open air) seemed like a good idea a couple of weeks ago, but there was rain. Is NERP in the Park actually a good idea? Summer in Chicago is short!
