Certifications Ask the area hosts for the shops to have a written list of the specific tools in their area and which ones need authorizations and what exactly is needed to know for an authorization. Authorizations are not standardized, so one certifier may give much less information that another. It's currently too much work for area hosts to cover 230 members and what they need. For each section in the shop, we have two “area hosts”. One that takes care of the physical space (and tickets). The other takes care of the authorizations. Link: http://wiki.pumpingstationone.org/Bounty_Board Area hosts and board, feel free to add tasks here. If you want to award points for something, just request board's approval by putting in a new trello task (on the “board task” board) or add to the minutes.

Hiring More People Member Liaison position? We need someone who can answer the basic membership questions and handle the basic membership paperwork. Let's get physical Tool Cage Get rid of the tool cage. Make another that is 2.5 times the size. A common point for all tools for the entire shop. Could do this as part of Bry's power hour. Changing the public meeting. - Everybody had dinner at the space. - We can say what we are doing this week. Ask for help.

Bounty board. - reward is a call out that they were awesome in the next meeting - personal thank you from x - hug or firm handshake

Getting the chez to buy more cool crap

Member Liaison?

Certification is too hard

Should we make the left half of the area to the general area host? Geoffrey said yes.

General area host vs the chez. Maybe the chez should.

Anna suggests: - we make a list of what an area host should

Area hosts For the shop: - Hot fabrication - Machining - Woodshop Ask the area hosts for the shops to have a written list of the specific tools in their area and which ones need authorizations and what exactly is needed to know for an authorization. Authorizations are not standardized, so one certifier may give much less information that another. For each section in the shop, we have two “area hosts”. A common point for all tools for the entire shop. Finishing the kitchen before we move stuff.

Should we have kits that have stock in it?

How do we streamline certifications? Don't certify individual people. We run a class, and people have to wait until the next class.

--END ANNA--

We should run a natural gas line because we can't have the propane.

So, let's put the hot stuff back. We just need power and ventilation.

Not comfortable teaching welding. Certification: Changing name to authorization, because it's more in line of what we are actually doing. Long term, having the rfid tag to be able to turn stuff on is a good thing. You have to be authorized to do this tool. How much time should an area host spend? (tim can earn 3 points in 6 hours, area host gets 3 points per month)

-- END MIKE --

Maybe we should have official certifiers with specific office hours.

It's too much work for area hosts to cover 230 members and what they need. What if we had official certifiers?

New certification: For each piece of equipment, have a list of things you need to know for each tool in the metalshop to be authorized. Should we certify the people who are being taught? Have official people who are the certifiers that hold official office hours?

Maybe we should have a list of what we are out of. Checkboard.

Put the tool cage. Actions: Bry power hour. Pick a freaking place/time.

Area hosts: Shop cop. Anna against. You will alienate people and you don't want. There should be leniency at first.

Should we do an area host meeting discussing the tidy space policy? Make sure that everyone is on area host list. (done) Put doodle. Try in 3 weeks to have area host tidy space meeting. Afterwards, have a public relations meeting.

Let's change the meetings and have them be themed. Let's fix the space (call for volunteers). Introduce bry's power hour night.
