Orientation

• Steve is all orientation is, but he isn’t great at capturing attention. He used to have a partner, but the partner left and since it’s been all him. We need to update it:
  • Learn more than a tuesday meeting
  • History
  • Culture
  • Work on a shop project
  • Have 2 mmt members, 2 board members, 2 area hosts as a panel and make it more interactive

New member experience

• Making the entrance more welcoming flows into this but our first big goal is setting up orientation. Steve can’t make tuesdays so it makes it a bit tough. See above

Tour Update

• Outline is written, Patience is willing to send it out if anyone is interested

Mapping the space

• Patience has gone to office hours but hasn’t been able to show up every time. Just needs someone to talk with for every area. Slow going, but it’s going.

Entrance more welcoming

• During the panel at the summit, someone mentioned that there was nobody there to help when they first came in. How can we make it more inviting/intuitive?
• Joe: Red button that is a welcome button that introduces the space and then tells the space via PA that there is someone new here. Fun way to do this.
• Patience will brainstorm this, as we all agree this is a problem.

Member Meeting FreshDesk Utilization

• Andrew had said it would be good if groups had keywords (eg Finance would be forwarded anything related to bills)

Scholarships

• Alisha shared with Max a scholarship proposal

  • Max is going to take a look at vote language and mmt can propose a vote for it.
