Background

The General area is requesting a similar amount to what was budgeted last year. Last year's budget was $5000; nearing the end of the year almost half of that was unspent, but that was largely due to the fact that with the sprawl imminent, I felt it prudent to be frugal in case of unexpected expenses related to the expansion. In 2017 I expect to be more proactive in repairing and upgrading various infrastructure items around the space throughout the year.

Language

Authorize the board to spend up to $5000 to cover General Area expenditures for the fiscal year of 2017. The board may assign this spending authority to the area host. This spending authorization goes into effect 2017-01-01 and expires 2017-12-31.
