Area Improvements and Projects

General Area

• Paint the back stairwell railings, main doorways.
• Fix the Tardis
• Fix the ventilation fan in the shop that doesn't spin up.
• Adam Savage (Myth Busters) Nested Table as a uniform replacement for tables around the PS1 (sketch | [http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/tips/a
• Replace the orange table in the middle of the shop (it's becoming unstable)
• Tidy Space stuff under the orange table
• Replace dust collector impeller shroud clips as they all have hairline fractures
• Make a dust cover for the SEM (Craft help?)
• Upgrade cable runs throughout the space to open cable raceways.
• Load cell sensor to monitor dust collector bin with alerts and automatic shutoff when its full
• Clean up/reorganize the safe.

CNC Area

• Move laser desk perpendicular to the kitchen wall, behind the flammables cabinet.
• Move Shapeoko desk and computer perpendicular to the long kitchen wall just outside the kitchen opening on the laser side of the shop.
• Move all 3D printers along the wall parallel to Elston Ave
• Build a rack for printer and vinyl cutter and place along the wall perpendicular to Elston Ave
• Build a spool rack that holds all filament spools above the 3D printers.
• Replace Shopbot table top.

Hot Metals Area

• Flip middle limbo wall to create storage for Hot Metals.
• Exhaust gas ventilation to outside.
• Acquire and install wall mounted compressed air hose real near and for use with the plasma cutter.

Cold Metals Area

• Emerson/Sears mini band saw
  • Replace motor and pulley
  • Fix switch
  • Setup for cutting thing metal / tube stock etc

Wood Shop Area

• Add dust collection drop for new planer. May need to order elbows, 6" blast gate, 6" flanges.
• Add floor sweep inlet for the dust collector

Kitchen Area

• Add sliding door to kitchen (check fire codes)
• Seal gap between catwalk and wall.
