Having a party at Pumping Station: One can be both great fun and a good way to outreach to people from the area who haven't got the motivation to come by before. However, there are a lot of things that you may not realize.

Before Party

  • a plan for who is responsible for cleaning up the party
  • a schedule: Party Clean Up Procedure
  • announcements! Meetup, Facebook, Mailing list(s), blog
  • calendar / not conflicting on the calendar / mess not being cleaned up immediately not conflicting on the calendar
  • libations
  • funding
  • donations?
  • music?
  • sewing area and equipment safe from party aggro
  • no accessibility of dangerous equipment
  • restrict the space, to make the party more interactive

After Party

  • actually clean up, make sure it happens
