Introductions

New People

New People (name - where did you hear about us - what do you make/hack)

• Jerry | Looking for help with 3D printing | bought his own 3D printer, building a machine, needs to make some parts
  • Come to the Extruder Party on June 4
• Isaiah | working on a railgun and an exoskeleton |
• Kushal | got a membership as a gift | getting back into tinkering, thinking about projects like ventilation table for salons | environmental engineer working at the EPA
• (Sorry I missed your name) | Mechanical Designer| | returning member | working on a guitar, needed a router table
• Alberto | Found us searching for shared woodsheds | went to school for furniture design, getting back into it |
• Joel | learned about us through his sister | knows metal fabrication, works in a cnc machine shop, trying to get into arduino, etc.
• Pat | works with metal, wood | learned about us from the metal super store

Two Random Members

• Everett | learning to make things out of metal
• Ken | electrician by trade, been working on shop compressor for last two weeks, nearly ready!

Things that need doing around the space

• Andrew could use some help assembling tables or something like that on Saturday
• Ariana and Arturo put up a kitchen help signup sheet
  • Please sign up to help out
• Planning on building cabinets
  • Let Ariana or Arturo know if you want to help
• If you use a tool, please put it back.
  • If you don’t know where to put a tool back, there’s a tray to put it in
• DNS in the space needs some love. If you can’t access the wiki, members, pafge

• Anna procured a bunch of nice furniture, Jason, and Andrew moved it with her
• Ken for working on the compressor
• Jason for reorganizing the tool cage
• Our cleaning lady: she’s really nice
• Adriana for putting up the kitchen sign
• Adriana and Jay and Josh for coloring in the sign
• To everybody who donated for the power racing series

What have you been hacking

• Beer Church made beer & an explosive beer device

• Jennie made an excellent pun
• Took apart the backend of an electric vehicle
• Jonny & Jennie & crew made stained glass things
• Gerald, Arturo, Josh, etc… made really good food

Announcements

• Power Racing! Come work on the cars, travel with us, drive souped up power wheels in other cities or our alley
  • Meet on Thursdays
• Gerald & Shelly’s Block Party is coming up
  • 3800 Oakley on the 25th of June
  • Would like to have maker space demo of some sort
• Potluck next Tuesday after the member meeting. Bring food to share and hunger to eat!
• Cable Access Jam Office Hours - come play instruments with us, no skill necessary
• Buccaneer’s Galley on Saturday, 6 pm - 10pm - Hangover survival breakfast food
  • Vegan biscuits and gravy, yeast raised waffles
