  2. There is a plastic tub on the shelves labeled "Stained Glass" containing larger pieces of stained glass
  3. There is a plastic tub on the shelves labeled "Stained Glass" containing miscellaneous tools/equipment including:
    1. Running Pliers
    2. Grozing Pliers
    3. Glass Cutter
    4. Some copper foil
    5. A grinding disc (TODO: Note model)
    6. (TODO: Complete Inventory)

DO NOT cut/grind glass in Graphic Arts and Textiles. Instead use the stainless steel work tables in Small Metals area.

Working with glass in Small Metals Area

  1. Cutting/grinding glass should be done on the the stainless steel work tables in Small Metals Area
  2. Never use the wood tables (to avoid getting glass embedded in the wood surface)
  3. You don’t need authorization to use the tables
  4. Always wear safety glasses
  5. For soldering safety, you can get portable table-top fume extractors from the Electronics Area.
  6. Return all tools and materials to the Areas where they live: Arts, Electronics, etc.
  7. You'll need to be able to clean up all the glass dust and debris, for your own safety and the safety of everyone who uses the space after you.
    1. Wipe up the glass dust and pieces with a wet towel or sponge.
    2. Do not use a brush, broom or vacuum, because these can disperse glass dust into the air.
    3. If using a sponge, dispose of it, or keep it with the glass items for re-use. Don’t leave it by the Small Metals sink.
