information retention policies

I'm bringing this up due to camera discussion. I saw discussion earlier this year on information retention as well as private data handling, but I am not up to date on the discussions that happened. I'd like the board and people involved to provide a status update. When I was on the board this was important to me and I stated my positions. I'd like to be able to provide those to the new board. Maybe we should have a wiki page or something where we can post status info.
