Concerns with language

We the membership of Pumping Station: One add a CNC router and associated accessories to the list of discretionary capital expenditures in the Pumping Station One budget.

We currently do not have a budget.

This spending authority will expire when this purchase is made or at the time a new budget is passed, whichever occurs first.

When we do get a budget, if we haven't arranged this purchase yet, we've wasted a bunch of time.

Upon completion of this purchase a full account of the monies spent and equipment purchased will be presented by the Treasurer of Pumping Station One to the membership via the mailing list within one month of the purchase date.

Steve won't be making the purchase, and this requirement is ridiculously specific.

Here's Everett's take, and I agree with him:

<NegativeK> That entire paragraph should be reduced to "Authorize the board to spend $X on a large format CNC router and related expenses. Receipts will be linked below. Authorization expires in 90 days."

Obtaining quote

I'd happily get in touch with shopbot for an official quote if someone can list, with more detail, what we are expecting to purchase with this machine. We should have a breakdown of what the money's for in the background, anyway. --Dbever (talk)
