== Alternative consequences ==
When working on discipline issues this year, we had people arguing that banning is not the only option. I made a list of more fine grained options. I don't want to lose that so I am sharing it here.
* Warning to change behavior, with subsequent consequences
* Specific action such as apology (not always a good idea)
* Requiring to avoid any interaction with, and physical proximity to, people involved in the situation
* Ending volunteer responsibilities
* Permanent ban from online spaces
* Temporary ban from online spaces
* Moderation in online spaces
* Required supervision
