Why now?

I just watched a presentation get delayed 20 minutes because the projector wouldn't cooperate. --Hef (talk) 21:10, 23 September 2014 (CDT)

On top of that, the existing projectors are dim enough to be almost useless for presentations. --Dbever (talk) 19:28, 27 September 2014 (CDT)

Mounting Considerations

I added a link to a mount that should work with these projectors. We might be able to use our existing mounts, but we should plan the budget to include money for mounts in case we need it. Justin (talk) 18:40, 27 September 2014 (CDT)

ANSI Lumen Rating

Hey, Hef. I think we should get at least 3000 lumens for these projectors. Well, at least for the electronics lab because of all the windows and heavy lighting up there. So yeah, a more business-type one for upstairs and a more home theater one for the lounge. Oh, I just found this. Might be a better choice for the upstairs:

Why not both?

The only downside to the one you listed is the lack of VGA/DVI. It looks like we can get VGA/DVI to HDMI connectors, so it may not be a problem at all.

Is there any reason not to get the projector you listed for both?

I originally had looked at this one - it lacks DVI but does have native VGA and HDMI -
