History

PS1 has a lot of fasteners stored in various places around the space. There is no single place to hold and organize our fasteners.

We need a good, solid cabinet that can support a lot of aggregate and individual drawer weight, similar to what is in the Cold Metals area for tooling.

I will post a picture on this page tomorrow after I am at the space showing the existing cabinet.

As the Tool Crib area host, I would like to propose purchasing a cabinet dedicated to holding our collection of fasteners of the same type as what is in Cold Metals.

Goals

Spend $600 to purchase a used cabinet like the one currently holding the tooling in the Cold Metals area.

The goal will be to purchase a cabinet of the same make/type as what we currently have but with a different drawer layout that will better support the needs of the Cold Metals area. The Cold Metals tooling will move into the new cabinet and the existing cabinet will become the Fastener Cabinet.

This will allow us to collect all of our fasteners into a central location that has enough organization and space to hold our inventory and free up space that is currently not being well utilized.

Language

Authorize the board to spend $600 on cabinet of the same make and type as what is currently in the Cold Metals area. The specific number of drawers and the color of the cabinet are NOT part of the vote.
