The current tool cage that Pumping Station:One inherited from the previous occupant is inadequate  for the space and should be emptied, dismantled and replaced with a larger cage that is designed to integrate into the space.

The location for the new cage will be in-between the wood shop and metal shop where three large metal shelve units are currently located. It will be seven feet wide and extend twelve feet out from the wall occupying eighty-four square feet of floor space. The current cage is approximately forty-eight to fifty square feet, and the metal shelves, 36 square feet; there will be no net loss in floor space by replacing the old cage with this new cage.

The shelf frames will be fabricated from one inch square welded steel tubing with dimensions six feet high, four feet wide and eighteen inches deep; the shelves, half inch plywood. The walls of the cage will be consist of shelve units bolted to the floor and to one another and backed with eight foot high by four foot wide half inch plywood creating a new twelve by eight foot wall facing wood shop and metal shop respectively. A four foot wide aisle, running between the two sets of shelves, will provide enough room to move heavier equipment, like the kiln, in and out of the cage.
