Tool Crib Wishlist

From Pumping Station One

This page is a place to gather all our dreams and desires for the new tool crib, which will primarily be the responsibility of the new area host. They're likely to come into the position with a plan, but documenting the needs and wants of the membership might help guide that plan.

Tools we need

The new tool crib should probably come with an inventory of our existing tools, followed by a significant purchase of new hand tools. This is a list of member recommendations.

  • DeWalt 12v Max tools are fantastic: they're lightweight, powerful and as durable as you'd expect DeWalt tools to be. --Dbever (talk) 13:07, 5 January 2014 (CST)
  • Husky Phillips & Slotted Screwdriver Set (9-Piece) because interchangeable bits are -always- lost. Fixed screwdrivers are inexpensive enough that they can be repurchased as needed. Several sets like this would be a good start. $10 a set. --Dbever (talk) 13:07, 5 January 2014 (CST)
  • Nichelson 8 Inch Mill Bastard File Files are cheap, very hard, and can cut almost anything. And sharp ones are safer. $4 each. --Nerobro (talk) 09:29, 10 January 2014 (CST)
  • Air Tool Accessories Easy to find an use air hose adapters make having shop air, useful. This set includes several male QD's, and the usual useful inflation tools. And a blow gun which is good for cleaning. $6. --Nerobro (talk) 09:36, 10 January 2014 (CST)
