About Me

I host events at PS1 and generally try to help out whereever I can. I'm currently trying to help with blogging, Greg's Emergence project, the Applied Sciences group, education at the space, and getting a cleaning service. I would also like to work on more fundraising events. I've been a part of the space for at least 3 years. I'm trying to get better at programming, but it's a very slow process. I write very occasionally and haphazardly. I am very interested in artificial intelligence, neuroscience, psychology, economics, philosophy, physics, political science, and history.

Jenny #3-Fusion Compass The “gameification” of career discovery. This is a text MMORPG (massively multi-player online roleplaying game) in which the goal is to choose what you want to do. Players start out right after high school, and they are free to explore different worlds that correspond to industry areas each with representative careers. Professionals in those careers have the power to create rooms with boards where they can post stories about their careers and answer questions on a question board. They can also create quests so that prospective professionals can have a taste of what that career is like, or to find more information about the career. Quests can also encompass industry-specific problems that are open to prospectives--for instance, a biologist can post a protein folding problem. Players gain xp from answering or asking questions and from creating or helping to complete quests. There may also be bad guys to watch out for in the game…

At level 10, you reach Enlightenment once you have finalized your career choice. This startup will need more of a time investment than the other two but also has low costs and revenues can be generated with an in-game credit system or a subscription.
