Background

It's hot in the building when the air conditioning is not fixed.

Both shop units need to be repaired or replaced.

We probably won't be moving before the end of our lease (next may) as it is unlikely that we will find a new space, have it be financially viable given the state of our membership and the economy, and given our ability to pick up everything and moving that stuff in a timely fashion.

We most likely do have money to repair or replace the units given our current financial outlook and our ability to amortize those costs over the remainder of our lease. Plus who doesn't want to be comfortable while working wearing a mask?

Maintenance

Pay for a recurring maintenance plan with a contractor that will inspect the units.

Language

Authorize the BoD to:

  • Spend $10,000 and hire a contractor to fix the air-conditioning system at PS1, and get a recurring maintenance plan for the term of our lease.
