Background

One of the most common request I receive from our membership is to add a large surface sander to the woodshop. I have researched the possible machines and operating cost and would like to propose that Pumping Station One acquire a 25"-30" wide drum sander.

I am requesting a total of $4,500 to purchase the machine, consumables and dust collection components.

A drum sander of this size and configuration will run approximately $3,500 and a stock of consumables will run approximately $600.00. Dust Collection Parts Drum Sander < $3,500 Consumables $600 Dust Collection $200 Freight $200

Total $4,500

I am evaluating models from Woodmaster, Powermatic, Jet, and Baileigh
