The Nation of Makers is holding its first conference this year on the weekend of June 9th in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We believe it would be beneficial for members of PS1 to attend and report on the convention.

General Motivation

As a prominent hackerspace in existence, we should play an active part in forming the culture of hackerspaces by participating in conferences such as NoMcon. We have much to learn from, and contribute to, other hackerspaces. The theme for the 2018 conference is "intentionally inclusive." The website is at https://www.nomcon.org/

Vote Language

Sponsor member(s) to attend NoMcon with 50% of the cost of the trip. The member(s) shall provide a report to the general membership at PS1.

Sponsor member(s) to attend NoMcon with 100% of the cost of the trip. The member(s) shall provide proof that they have been accepted to do an Ignite talk or workshop(s) at NoMcon 2018.
