=== Why not both? ===

The only downside to the one you listed is the lack of VGA/DVI.  It looks like we can get VGA/DVI to HDMI connectors, so it may not be a problem at all.

Is there any reason not to get the projector you listed for both?

I originally had looked at this one - it lacks DVI but does have native VGA and HDMI -

Doh!  Actually, Hef.  You make a good point.  Using adapters to go from HDMI to DVI is fine, but it's impossible (without a conversion box) to go from HDMI to DVI to VGA.  Yeah, my recommendation seems to be a fail.  Derek's seems like a good one.  3000 lumens, it has VGA, and we can just use adapters for HDMI to DVI.  VGA is not only important for computers, but also for the video games in the lounge that use component video.  Component video is shared with VGA on projectors.

===Close Focus===

I don't know if this is out of place, but the Acer H6510BD/Acer P1500 has a unique quirk of being able to focus at a few inches, so these projectors are being selected for the open source resin printer LittleRP.  http://www.littlerp.com/

I don't favor anyone using the presentation projectors to build a 3d printer. That's interesting, though. --[[User:Dbever|Dbever]] ([[User talk:Dbever|talk]]) 15:34, 22 October 2014 (CDT)
