This is a potential alternative to upgrading the [https://wiki.pumpingstationone.org/Vote_to_buy_a_new_UPS UPS] with the added benefit of removing a kilowatt of power consumption and heat disipation in the catwalk area. To replace the UPS solution, we would add a power line conditioner to protect our investment from damage from bad power conditions, and decrease instability due to power spikes/dips.

Assuming $0.07 per KWh as the fully loaded electricity price, this migration will save roughly $600 per year in energy cost. We'll also likely be able to recover a few hundred dollars by selling the old equipment.
