Background

The hot metals area is seeking $5000 for the next fiscal year (FY 2017-18). This amount is to cover the following three major areas of concern:

  • Completing the expansion of the hot metals area to the new space (new welding curtains, for example)
  • New equipment for proper ventilation
  • Repairs of, and supplies for, existing equipment (e.g. shielding gas, grinding discs, etc.)

Language

Authorize the board to spend up to $5000 to cover Hot Metals Area expenditures for the fiscal year of 2017. The board may assign this spending authority to the area host. This spending authorization expires 2017-12-31.
