''Film photography is gaining popularity among people that enjoy the process of making a photograph, it offers many aesthetic advantages to digital photography and appeals to the 'maker' in some of us.  However it is difficult for PS1 to support film photography because of the need to provide a darkroom and equipment to support the traditional film process. However if we support a workflow that includes traditional film development, high quality scanning of the negatives to a digital file and photo quality printing, PS1 could support film photography without a darkroom. We have a good photo quality printer, B&W film developing could be supported with a light proof desktop tent and <$400 of equipment. This proposal is to acquire good quality scanner to complete the process.''
