Having a party at Pumping Station: One can be both great fun and a good way to outreach to people from the area who haven't got the motivation to come by before. However, there are a lot of things that you may not realize.
Before Party
- a plan for who is responsible for cleaning up the party
- a schedule: Party Clean Up Procedure
- announcements! Meetup, Facebook, Mailing list(s), blog
- calendar / not conflicting on the calendar / mess not being cleaned up immediately not conflicting on the calendar
- libations
- funding
- donations?
- music?
- sewing area and equipment safe from party aggro
- no accessibility of dangerous equipment
- restrict the space, to make the party more interactive
After Party
- actually clean up, make sure it happens
