I am voting no due to the kickstarter section of the vote. As Derek says, fund-raising is a lot of work and you have not assigned anyone to do it except for "the board". Fund raising falls under the aegis of the PR director. PR director is a volunteer role, so we cannot expect Ray to spend time on it as though it were a full time job. If Ray is willing to become a sponsor for this vote with the understanding that he has the time and resources to commit to running the fund-raising campaign, then my objection to this part of the vote will no longer stand. Given that we've been actively working towards obtaining our federal not for profit status since last year, we may not be up to date on our involvement with the school factory - I wouldn't direct donations there until we've confirmed the relationship is intact (and I'd rather we waited until we had a decision from the IRS so as to not involve a third party at all).
