*I use Autodesk Architecture, Engineering and Construction products extensively at work. I have a good contact who moved over to their Manufacturing side a couple years ago. Autodesk is pushing their "maker" software hard, and thus I thought they would want to get us their products to see what sort of excellent things we can do with it. He introduced me to someone specializing in the Hacker movement. I will keep you all posted on what develops. --Mrfooz (talk) 13:16, 6 November 2014 (CST)

** Edit: Here is the response from the Maker from Autodesk<br />Hi Weston, <br />Great to meet you as well.<br />The best thing that we have going right now on the high-end and affordable range is two thing. 1) all of our software is free for Maker Spaces that have communal computers and the ability to teach courses on them. 2) Even better than that we have a newish program called Fusion360. This thing is pretty bad ass, its as powerful as inventor and comes with some CAM software pre-installed. Its also free currently for users such as yourself. You would just register as a start up/hobbyist. <br />Here is the link, I have used Rhino for years and I much prefer this. The seller for me is that is was also available on a mac. <br />Let me know what you think, PDX in portland is using it and they seem to love it. <br />Jesse  --Mrfooz (talk) 16:11, 6 November 2014 (CST)
