Just a comment on the miter saw/chop saw: My experience has been that the little dust port behind the blade looks nice but doesn't actually catch the dust, which tends to fly off to the sides. I ended up building a "box" behind the saw to catch the dust. A google search turns up many examples. But this means that nothing can be behind it on the other side of the bench.
