ps:one is a ''hackerspace thingee where people get to play with stuff and learn stuff'' (free geek has ''an information technology-oriented organization'' so I may try and come up with some terse thingee like that by way of trying to explain the level of behavior. depending on what is going on it would be like dressing for an IT job versus dancing or going to the beach. So the communication should match impedance of the context. example text from a workshop code of conduct is, ''All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds and skill levels.'')

Precis

I repect the | FreeGeek Chicago Code of Conduct and I want to have a code of conduct for me and my guests.

My guests and I should be respectful of differences and display common courtesy towards other members and guests. If you are my guest and are behaving in a way I deem disrespectful, I may give you a warning or ask you to leave.
