For the last several years, ID checks have been performed solely by the board of directors.  Since there are 2 ID checks required, this makes ID checks more difficult for new members who are unable to attend the Tuesday evening open house. Allowing area hosts to check IDs would more than double the number of people who can perform this task, diffusing the workload and increasing the efficacy of onboarding.

In order to be a Full Member, a person must support the purpose and specific goals of the organization and must pay the monthly membership fee as determined by the board of directors. A member must also provide government-issued photo identification to at least <blink>two authorized Full Members, either as</blink> members of the board of directors <blink>or other Full Members assigned and designated for this task by the board of directors,</blink> at the time of payment of the first membership fee, and provide an electronic mail address for receiving official notice of members' meetings. Any person who does meet these requirements is a Full Member of Pumping Station: One.
