- Mailing List Announcement: 2/17/2017
- Officially Proposed: 2/21/2017
- To be Voted on: 2/28/2017
Background
Powder coating is a relatively clean process that produces very good finishes on metal parts, currently we have a small oven for curing parts but no space owned gun. This vote aims to get PS:1 setup to do powder coating of both small and large parts.
- 4' x 4' x 6' internal space oven ~$1600
- Powder coating gun ~$200
Users will be required to provide there own tapes/plugs/powders/cleaners/masks/gloves, but these are relatively inexpensive and readily available.
Cleanup is very simple and can be completed with a shopvac.
Language
Authorise the Board of Directors to spend up to $2000 on a powder coating oven and gun. Authorisation expires 6 months after the vote is accepted.
