At an earlier board meeting the treasurer suggested increasing revenue and memberships with more marketing. This proposal is to make a batch of branded custom pencils. The pencils would be for the following staff; Tour guides, as a souvenir for open house guests at the end of the tour, Area hosts as a token of appreciation to members who show merit, and authorizers to give to those members who complete their authorizations as required.

The intended effect would be; to raise awareness of the makerspace, increase engagement in new and current members, encourage undecided visitors to join at a later date.

This could also be a trial product to test the vendor for a more elaborate kind of branded pencils. They have alternate quote generating form for item such as carpenter pencils with both sides printed with a customer supplied graphic. The board can also gain feedback on what merchandisiat a later dateng may have.
