New People

New People (name - where did you hear about us - what do you make/hack)

• Jack | Software Engineer | been doing different network stuff recently | Just moved from SF | came here back in 2010-2011
• Brandon | Industrial Engine Generator Mechanic | referred by Mike | parallel generators |
• Andy | tinker with software and hardware in college | here to explore |
• Shea | women's lit | ceramics | brought by Mike
• Rachel | developer | woodworking & making things

Two Random Members

• Sean | member since 2009, when the space started | wood projects | programming background
  • Started meeting at Mercury Cafe, rented a space down the street
• Mike | member for 2-3 weeks | found hackerspaces in Detroit (I3), interested in woodworking

Things that need doing around the space

• Take out the garbage, do your dishes, empty the dust-collector, sweep, clean up after yourself

What have you been hacking

• Will made a Library Box - Wifi access point that's not connected to the internet, files, chat room
• Will made some gear toys
• Simon's working on powering cameras with wall warts and
• Brandon is working on remote diesel fired heater with prestart
• Johnny is up to five chords on guitar
• Jack has been brewing kombucha

Announcements

• Potluck - Fifth Tuesday Potluck during member meeting - next week! Bring some food, eat some food
• Bike night, CAJOO, kitchen office hours is canceled, kitchen office hours
• Cybersecurity 101 for Organizers is on Sunday, 4-6 pm
