Reverse Engineering Task Force
Reverse Engineering (RE, RevEng) is the process of discovering the technological principles of a system through analysis of its structure and function [1].
If you enjoy taking things apart and discovering how they work, this group is for you!
Introduction & Focus
This is an interest group dedicated to the reverse engineering of any designed/engineered system, such as:
- electronics hardware
- embedded firmware
- computer software
- protocols
- file formats
- mechanical systems
- etc...
This interest will be supported through projects, as well as the study & documentation of reverse engineering methodology, the creation of R.E. tools, etc. Involvement may include exploratory projects, which are solely done for practicing reverse engineering, as well as assisting in other projects where reverse engineering is used.
If you have a project that involves reverse engineering, we're probably interested in helping out!
Interest Group Members
