I am told that docs can be easily obtained on it. I do know it is wired currently for 220 single phase, with the red cable as the lead(?) I am not an electrician.......I need the help of one. It also needs the extras, right now it is just a base unit. Contact me by e-mail for any serious concerns.

I noticed that the plug on fitterdave's tig welder is not wired in accordance with standard practice. The plug is a 3 wire 240v and It is wired with both white (neutral) and green (ground) going to the plug. Standard 3 wire 240v wiring would be red, black, white. Or black, black, white. It may be that the cord on his machine is wired oddly and this is the correct arrangement. I suggest that the machine not be used until the wiring is verified as correct. I'm putting a note on the plug as well. If I have time I will look into it tomorrow.
