Equipment
This is an abbreviated list of welding equipment, but it hits the high points and covers the major welding capabilities:

Discussion
For safety tips and a general operational overview, see the article on PS1's MIG welders.
Status
The Lincoln Electric 125HD is no longer at the space but see above list of welders that are, and a link to the Hot Metals area that has a more complete list of hot metals equipment.
How to get authorized
Check the calendar for events related to welding, particularly for Hot Metals office hours. https://pumpingstationone.org/events/ Contact the Hot Metals area host or volunteer authorizers. https://wiki.pumpingstationone.org/Category:Hot_Metals
Use
Flux core or gas shielded welding of steel. Welding of aluminum with the use of the spool gun.
Notes
For use of the spool gun RTFM. aluminum requires use of argon as the shielding gas. The spool gun is in the black case on top of the grinder bench shelf (manual is inside case), it is set up to work once you RTFM.
For regular Mig welding the knurled drive roller is intended for flux core only and seems to grind some material off the wire. This will be a maintenance issue for the gun liner and I recommend we use the knurled drive only when necessary. The 125HD is configured for use with mild steel.
Accessories
Additional wire drive wheels and the large spool adapter are inside the case.
