The only prerequisite for Form 3 authorization is to be authorized on the "regular" 3D printers. Must be able to create a print on one of the currently operational filament printers. Formlabs authorization is about one 2-hour session. A Canvas Course is in progress.

Authorization is currently restricted, though authorization is not required to print through the [[Paid Parts|paid parts program]].
