Pumping Station: One has quite dilapidated laser printers which are tempermental and nearing the end of their useful life cycle. It has been noted that the price of laser printers, even multi-function all-in-ones has dropped dramatically in recent years.

I have researched several laser printers and I am proposing that we purchase a Brother® DCP-7065DN Monochrome Laser All-In-One Printer, Copier, Scanner from a reputable new dealer (Best Buy, NewEgg, Office Depot, Staples, Amazon)

I just checked on Amazon, and they have the printer available on Amazon prime for $109.74

I am sure someone has Amazon Prime at PS1. I have it if no one else does. That would eliminate shipping costs.

What about supplies I hear you say.

I have used 123refills for years. I get both laser printer refill cartridges and inkjet from them. We could purchase remanufactured cartridges from them ($25), refill kits ($13 + $2), and even toner drums. Refilling is a simple process. Once we have cartridge set up for refill, it can be refilled about 3-4 times before some components start to wear and we need to spend $25 again. I do not know how much printing we do, but this seems to be the most economic option that I can find. I am happy to demonstrate how to refill cartridges if no one else has experience or interest.

Here is the 123refills page for that printer:

Probably we should charge one penny per page for b/w prints to offset materials and wear/tear just like we charge six cents/gram on the 3d printer.
