Background

Our current drum sander has become a maintenance nightmare. It seems to be down as often as not, and eats its own conveyor belt on a regular basis. The proposed drum sander has a more robust system for adjusting the conveyor belt travel. In addition, it is an industrial unit that should hold up better to the rigors of makerspace service.

What do I want to replace it with?

One of these: [1]. This is an industrial unit from a very reputable manufacturer. It has a more formal and straightforward way of adjusting conveyor belt tracking.

Synopsis

Purchase a Powermatic DDS225 drum sander.
