New Business

• Morris: $3700 estimate for high dusting of woodshop and hot metals
  • They will vacuum the beams, the fixtures, the tops of fixtures, and the walls
  • Someone has to pay for it with their budget, no one knows exactly who.
  • Morris will figure out budget and we will revisit next meeting.
  • Much other genops work has been done which is excellent.
• The state has denied our sales tax exemption application.
  • This is due to some legal reasons that Nick will forward to anyone who cares
  • It probably will not be resolved, meaning we will continue having to pay sales tax, and we will also have to pay property tax once we buy the building.
• Ian was working on getting quotes for the roof and other items from the inspection.
  • No one has gotten back to him with anything affirmative, still working.
• Uwe wants an update on scholarships / MMT
  • He asks for a list of recipients, Claire will send it to him
  • He suggests a welcome event for the recipients, where they could meet each other, feel more connected to the space, and we could collect data on them.
  • Lindsay suggests overlapping with the 5th tuesday potluck this month, to improve turnout
  • It would be great if we had every tuesday member meetings again
• Uwe has questions about the treasury
  • We have a credit card, what is it used for?
    • Matt Keith says we use it for reoccurring things like software purchases
    • James gives a brief history of the business amazon account and why we don't use it much anymore (booo amazon)
    • A bunch of people agree that financial reports are confusing
    • Uwe wants credit cards statements
    • Carl says that they are in the google drive somewhere
  • We are 6 months into the building fund vote, so we should have $90k saved. Where is it?
    • The weekly 'Statement of Financial Position' email disagrees with the chase balance that Joe has on his phone. That's interesting.
• This quickly devolved into 4 separate side conversations about where all the money is.
  • We voted on some stuff and closed the meeting
