Talk:BOSS LS-3655 150w Laser Engraver

I think there is too much emphasis here on settings and not on broad topics of how to use the software and hardware.

People are getting angry that this machine is sitting there and there hasn't been a process approved by the area host for conducting authorizations.

We need to work out in very short order what needs to be conveyed to a user for safe and effective operation, emphasis on the safety of members, bystanders, the space and the machine.

Specific things: what's up with adjusting the focus at different points on the bed, how do you move the head so that the green-box start point can be moved around the bed, how do you achieve 1:1 match between the software interface and the bed, is that even possible? talk about e-stop procedures and fire safety procedures what are special or new considerations for lasering with the Boss that don't apply or didn't apply to the Epilog? is there a document yet that anyone has made and could you share it please, with a rough draft for a guide to conducting authorizations? if nobody else has one I will write and post a half-baked one based on what I know so far. what are the top 3 videos or sites for advice about this stuff? most of the online content I have seen for Boss/RDWorks/Laserwors has been bad, exasperatingly wordy and annoying. I have not found any excellent resources yet. If you have them, post them.

Acrylic 1/4th inch Scan 29% 29% 300mm 1 Yes Fairly good engrave, lots of acrylic dust. With the power of this laser, might be better to have protective film on for engraving and cutting. Skynaya (talk) 09:21, 5 March 2017 (CST)
